Amazing carrier even better service
I tried this carrier through Alyce’s travelling carrier program with my 17.6kg, 97cm, 2.5 yo. Testing its upper limits.
I found it very comfortable once on for a parent facing carry, and my boy way super comfortable too, even fell asleep for a nice snuggling nap on one afternoon. Easy to adjust and the fabric conformed to both of our bodies easily. I wish I’d had it when my babies were tiny as it was so comfortable.
I had a little trouble fitting both of our heads through the top hole when getting in and out but that wasn’t an issue once we learned to take turns. The leg adjustment was a little finicky when my toddler moved a lot popping off of the widest settings, this was easy to readjust but annoying that it didn’t stay put (I didn’t have this issue when I put my much smaller niece in for a quick snuggle, so it is probably on because my toddler is the upper limit of size).
Only downside is not being able to back carry in this carrier, once baby gets tall enough to block your vision whilst in a front carry like my toddler it’s not very convenient to fr on my carry unless it’s for snuggles.
The highlight of this carrier is its racer back. It offers the feeling and support of crossed shoulder straps and this racer back stops them slipping around or pulling on the neck like other carriers. Very easy to put on T-shirt style - plus no awkward buckle!
Speaking of buckles … minimal buckles and hanging straps is a huge plus for comfort. Although it would be useful to have an option to clip to the waist buckle for pre-six months. This made it really easy to switch between users with minimal adjustments. A good fit for broad shoulders and plus size as well.
The material is light weight and breathable making it really comfy. Of course not as colourful as other brands but available with some leopard spots for a pop of fun. The quality fabric was still commented on in my mother’s group.
We did find it a little harder to get as curved a spine as a cloth carrier eg Neko Meh Dai and more on par with an Ergo 360. However, baby still found it comfy enough to fall asleep.
If we decide to go for a full buckle carrier, we’d definitely consider this one. It’s sleek, supportive and seamless to use.
We didn’t try it outward facing as our baby is too young and we prefer not to.
Alyce was, as always, wonderful help in getting a safe and comfy fit.
This carrier takes a bit of time to get used to if you don't normally back wear, but it's so great to have your little one nice and high without the hassle of using wraps.
I knew that the Lennylamb ring slings were amazing quality, but I really do love the the dinosaur print.
