Some people know they want a buckle carrier from the beginning. But others value the comfort, ease and versatility that carriers with wrap straps can provide. If you are in the latter camp, you might be going back and forth between a meh dai and a half buckle, not sure what to choose.
But what if I told you that you don't have to choose?

How the waistband system works
Not only can you switch up the waistband type between buckle and tie waist but you can flip it up and down between waterfall and apron waist.
Not sure what apron waist is? See the FAQ below.
They also have a genius double tunnel system so you can have the waistband higher to shorten the carrier for a newborn or move it down to length the panel for a toddler. A true birth to toddler carrier.

Girasol MySol or WrapMySol: Which should you choose?
Whether you would prefer the MySol or the WrapMySol depends entirely on your preferences. Like a big of cushion on your shoulders and don't want the bulk of wide wrap straps? The MySol is likely for you. Want wide, wrap straps that sit flat and snug on your shoulders? The WrapMySol might suit you best.

F.A.Q.
What is the difference between the Girasol MySol and WrapMySol?
Only the straps! The MySol has thinner, padded straps for those who like some cush on their shoulders. The WrapMySol has wide, unpadded wrap straps which can help to distribute weight better or work better who don't like padding.
What is an apron waistband?
Carriers are often made so that the waistband sits below your baby's bum (this is by far the most common) or flips up to sit between the two of you. Apron waist carriers are often favoured by people with short torsos as it reduces bulk on the torso. Others find a waterfall waistband more supportive. With the Girasol MySol and WrapMySol you can experiment with both.
What is a meh dai?
A meh dai (also known as Beh Dai) is a traditional Asian baby carrier with a structured panel (the part of the carrier that sits behind and holds baby), two shoulder straps that you tie and two waistband straps that you tie. Zero buckles. No webbing (the firm, seatbelt-like part of a strap). Modern interpretations often have more padding and wider straps but there is huge variation across brands.
What is a half buckle?
A half buckle is a modern twist of a meh dai. It has the same structured panel and two shoulder straps that you tie, but the waistband has a buckle. Some people find this quicker and easier than a tie waist. It can also be easier to get it nice and tight. Others don't like buckles or webbing and opt for a meh dai. Our Girasol MySol and WrapMySol come with both the buckle waist and the tie waist so that you can interchange them as you like.
