CLOTH AND CARRY BABY CARRIER HIRE SERVICE: How it works

Hire a high quality baby carrier for 2-4 weeks to find what works best for your body, baby and family.

Babywearing is personal, so the best way to know whether a carrier truly fits your body, your baby and your lifestyle is to live with it.

Our Preloved Hire Service gives you the freedom to try a gently used, fully safety checked carrier at home for 2–4 weeks, without the commitment of buying upfront.

It’s simple, supportive and stress-free.

How It Works

1. Browse & Choose Your Hire Carrier

Explore our Baby Carrier Hire Collection and select the carrier or wrap you’d like to hire.
Each item is gently used from our demo library and fully cleaned and safety checked.

2. Add to Cart + Bond

Add your chosen hire item to cart.
A popup will prompt you to add your refundable $50 security deposit and return postage if you'd lus to organise it for you.
Please ensure you add this - missing deposits delay your booking.

3. Choose Postage or Pickup

You can choose tracked postage or arrange collection from Mount Kuring-Gai, NSW.
Note: Postage paid at checkout covers the shipping to you.
If you decide to return the hire, you’ll need to pay for tracked return postage.

4. Pay for Your Hire

At checkout you’ll be charged:

• Your hire fee (minimum 2 weeks)

• Your $50 security deposit

• Postage (and return postage if you choose for us to organise it)

Your hire period begins when you receive the carrier (not when we ship it).

5. Wear & Explore (2–4 Weeks)

For the next 14–28 days, use your carrier wherever life takes you:

• around the home

• on walks

• daycare or school runs

• contact naps

• settling

• grocery trips

• holidays

You’ll also receive access to:

6. Return on Time

Send your carrier back by the End Date using tracked post or return in person.
When received in good condition and with all components, you’ll receive:

• Full refund of your bond

• 50% of your hire fee returned as store credit (valid 14 days, new carriers only)

Things to Know

These are preloved hire carriers

Each item is always:

• Clean

• Safe

• Fully inspected

• Ready for immediate use

Minimum hire period is 2 weeks

Maximum is 4 weeks including extensions.

Store credit bonus

Return on time and in good condition and you’ll receive 50% of your hire fee back as store credit, valid for 14 days to put towards any new carrier.

Safety first

Always follow manufacturer instructions and the T.I.C.K.S. babywearing safety guidelines.
Cloth and Carry cannot accept responsibility for injuries due to misuse.

Shipping

• Outbound shipping includes tracking

• Return shipping must be tracked too

• All accessories must be returned (hood, lumbar support, suck pads, instructions, etc.)

Late returns

$5/day applies for late returns.
Unreturned carriers after 28 days will be invoiced at full RRP.
