I purchased the LennyHybrid in Peanut Butter after having previously used a stretchy wrap, Ergo Embrace and Ergo 360. I loved the flat straps and softness of the embrace but my baby needed something a bit more supportive as he got bigger. This half buckle is absolutely perfect! Baby is so nice and snug, especially with the wraps spread over his bottom and the material is so light weight and perfect for the Australian climate. It is a wonderful carrier and feels so much less bulky than my 360, plus I can roll it up on the waist band and fit it into my bag.
I find the shoulder caps fit me better and are less prone to sliding when I add a twist at the front, but I may also just need to work on my strand by strand tightening. I added the Lennylamb lumbar support which makes a noticeable difference for long wear without adding bulk. The straps are quite long which is great for wrapping baby up but they do drag on the ground, I fix this by tying some simple slip knots at the ends to shorten them a bit and then untie these as I wrap. I'm also practicing loosening and tightening the straps without taking the carrier off.
Overall I really adore this carrier. I look forward to wearing it each day and I can't wait to try back carrying once bub is old enough. :)
I had such a good experience shopping at Cloth and Carry. I used the try before you buy as I was sceptical about an onbuhimo with my bad back but it surprised me how comfortable and easy it was to use. The support and Kindness from Kiki was next to none. I’ve already ordered another wrap to try!
So nice and warm, baby fits wonderfully snug! I sized up but probably wouldnt next time for a nicer fit
We loved this carrier. It’s the third structured carrier we’ve tried and we fell in love with the soft but supportive fabric! Both dad and mum love using it :) also appreciate the guidance Kiki provided in troubleshooting the fit.
As a woven wrap user, this carrier is a game changer. And just beautiful. Lenny Lamb feels so organically luxurious.
Evenings here are a continuous loop of milky, wanting to be held, not wanting to be held, plus 3 year old, plus dinner, plus the load of washing that I forgot to hang out. You know the drill.
Whilst using a woven wrap isn't actually time consuming, it can certainly feel like a hindrance doing it multiple times during a short time period - especially when there's a lot happening. This evening's routine felt much smoother just from using the Onbuhimo. Between cluster feeds I could just pop him in while I did dinner. He must love it too because he's fallen asleep in it at 5pm (rare, but so lovely)
I only ever back carry eith a woven wrap using a Tibetan or date night finish. So naturally I am avoiding the weight being around my mid anyway - in other words, not having a waist buckle suits me perfectly!
